Derrick Kershaw Partnership is 50 years old!

Derrick Kershaw Partnership is 50 years old!

Founded in 1960 by Derrick Kershaw, the former chief Quantity Surveyor for York City Council. The partnership expanded quickly with Allan Peasgood joining Derrick in Partnership in the late 60's

In the early years the Partnership worked mainly in the public sector, continuing Derrick's ties with Local Authorities and expanding into the Health Sector with a close working relationship with the adjacent offices of the Yorkshire Regional Health Authority. Both Derrick & Allan had close links with the church and soon the Partnership gained a reputation for ecclesiastical restoration projects including the historic refurbishment of John Wesley's Chapel in Central London.

The Partnership continued to expand gaining major new clients in the commercial sector - such as Hillard's Supermarkets (subsequently Tesco), Saint Gobain Building Distribution and multiple Health Trusts.

The partnership was incorporated to a Limited Company in 2009 and the current Directors, Richard Webster, Ian Saddington and Ian Bardon have an impressive 80+ years service between them. Over the years they have continued to advance and expand the Company's portfolio and the business has built a reputation for developing and delivering professional construction cost management solutions.

To celebrate the practice being 50, we are raising money for The Alzheimer's Society.  Our main fund raising idea has been to send out DKP pop-up swear boxes to clients, colleagues and friends.  We will be having a celebration day in October to collect the proceeds of the swear boxes and maybe raise a glass or two in celebration!  So look out for your invitation.

We also have a 50 year website www.dkp-qs-50.co.uk and have established pages on facebook for general chatter and a Just Giving page for donations.  All proceeds will go to the local branch (Harrogate & Ripon) of the Alzheimer's Society.
