DKP wins PM Role for The Street
Derrick Kershaw Partnership is thrilled to have won the Project Manager role for the £6million new youth and community building for the centre of Scarborough.
The funding for the scheme had been agreed but the project was caught in an agonising 6 month wait after the Myplace programme was included in the Government’s comprehensive spending review after the election in May 2010. The news of confirmed funding was received in early December 2010.
The building will provide ‘world-class’ facilities for young people, including sports and activities rooms, digital media facilities, training rooms and chill-out space. It will also provide a cafe, meeting and activities space for the wider community and workspace for a wide variety of voluntary groups providing services to the community.
